Hailing
from Southern California where he owned and operated his own cheerleading
gym, Cheer Empire Acrobatics & Cheerleading, Knight lead the Cheer
Empire Monarchs Pro Team to 10 naitonal championships.
Currently,
he serves as the All Star Director at Central Cheer in San Marcos, TX
as well as the Spirit Program Director/Head Cheer Coach at Texas State.
Prior to his current positions Knight served as the All Star Director
at a gym in Austin, TX.
Having
been in the cheerleading business for over 8 years, Ervin Knight brings
a wealth of knowledge to the Texas State Spirit Program. In addition
to coaching at the all star level, he has enhanced skills in choregraphy,
music editing and graphic design. He is also trained and experienced
in competitive college cheerleading as a core instructor for UCA, NCA
and USA as well as being certified in CPR, First Aid and AACCA (American
Association of Cheerleading Coaches and Advisors).
Knight's
experience of the sport from both the position of cheerleader and coach
coupled with his extensive knowledge of all levels of cheerleading makes
him an invaluable asset to the Texas State family and allows him to
share his true talent... TEACHING!
Using his experience and passion for coaching, Knight's heart is to
show that anyone can develop and succeed with the right technique and
the right training environment.
Knight
holds two associates degrees in arts and graphic design from UC-Irvine
in Invine, CA.

Brian
Doyle
|
Brian Doyle comes
to the program as a coach after cheering for Texas State for the past
five years. Doyle has a BA in communication from Texas State University
and has over five years experience in coaching cheerleading, gymnastics
and tumbling.

Bringing
a wealth of knowledge and experience from working in professional sports
marketing, Bryan Miller rejoined the Texas State athletic department
staff in 2005.
In his
role at Texas State, Miller is responsible for expanding marketing initiatives
within the university and San Marcos communities as well as throughout
the I-35 corridor. He also oversees the corporate partnerships, event
presentation and promotions departments.
Prior to
returning to Texas State, Miller worked with both Spurs Sports &
Entertainment as well as Maloof Sports & Entertainment over the
past three years.
As a member
of the Spurs' front office staff, Miller was the Promotions Coordinator
for the San Antonio Suprs, WNBA Silver Stars and the San Antonio Rampage
of the American Hockey League. He coordinated sponsorship contracts
for 27 corporate accounts which totaled $22 million in on-court promotions,
arena signage and player/mascot appearances.
As the
Manager of Strategic Alliances Partner Services for Maloof Sports &
Entertainment, Miller worked with corporate partners of the Sacramento
Kings, WNBA Sacramento Monarchs and ARCO Arena, coordinating the execution
of contracts to help corporate sponsors receive the maximum exposure
as partners of the basketball franchises and arena.
In addition
to developing innovative promotional programs for the Kings and Monarchs'
corporate sponsors, Miller also oversaw 23 suite and luxury box accounts,
managing relationships with Maloof Sports & Entertainment clients.
Miller
previously worked two years at Texas State as an athletic marketing
and promotions associate from 2000-02. While at the university he was
responsible for increasing sponsorship and ticket revenue at home athletic
events. He was also responsible for the development and execution of
in-game promotions, public address scripts, game sponsorships, scheduling
halftime entertainment and coordinating game sponsorships.
Miller
holds both a bachelor degree in marketing (1998) and a master's degree
in science in sports administration (1999) from Texas Tech University.
