Texas State Spirit Program is known for their terrific performances and spirit on the sidelines. When the Texas State Cheerleaders or Boko are on court, on the field, in the stands, or even at a birthday party, their goal is to have fun and help people enjoy themselves.

These personable, energetic and enthusiastic entertainers make several appearances throughout the year at university, community, charity and school events. Whether working with children, or visiting with the community, this program is dedicated to spreading spirit and fun to everyone they meet. As ambassadors for the Texas State Athletics department, they are dynamic representatives of the San Marcos and university communities, reaching out to bring people together. People from all walks of life who meet the cheerleaders or Boko say they simply evoke Bobcat Pride! With all of their dedication to Texas State Athletics, it's no wonder that they are a fan favorite.

The following information is designed to assist you in making a request to include Texas State Cheerleaders and/or Boko in your upcoming event or program. Each request will receive fair and consistent consideration and will be confirmed based on availability and department policies. Please note that submitting a request does not guarantee an appearance.

All requests must be submitted using the Appearance Request Forms via the links below. Requests should be received at least four (4) weeks prior to the event. Please furnish as much detail as possible. Please allow 5–7 business days to receive a response to your request.

Texas State Cheerleaders and Boko are available for appearances throughout the year. (Note: Summer months may be harder to fulfill an appearance request.)

Appearance Information

Standard/Fundraising - $25 per cheerleader, per hour + mileage (minimum 2 cheerleaders); Boko makes appearances for a donation of $50 per hour + mileage. A typical appearance is one (1) hour.

Out-of-Area Events- Cheerleaders/Boko will be paid 58.5¢ per mile for gas (this is the Texas State University/State Rate)

Please have appearance fee and/or mileage payment ready upon arrival for the appearance.

(*For out of state or appearances in locations further than a 1 hour drive, airfare, room, board and event transportation will be at the client’s expense. This is in addition to the appearance fee per cheerleader and/or mascot.)

Charitable - There is no charge for university sponsored events. 501 (c) organizations may submit requests for an appearance donation. Each request will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Additional Information:

• Accurate directions, location, phone number and contact name must be provided.
• Please provide a skirted table or booth with chairs for any autograph sessions.
• If an entertainment performance is requested cheerleaders and/or Boko will bring all prompts and music. (The event must provide AV equipment to play the music.)
• Please provide water.
• Please provide parking and a secure area for cheerleaders' and/or Boko's belongings. Please escort the cheerleaders/Boko to and from their car for added security. Reimbursement for incurred parking fees is required at time of event.
• All publicity for the event which mentions an appearance by a Texas State Cheerleader or Boko (including logos), must be approved by the Texas State Athletics department before use. (For approval please contact 512.245.2210)
• A meal must be provided if the appearance is over four hours away.
• Please provide a private & lockable place for the cheerleaders and/or Boko to change clothes.
• It must be understood that Boko's maximum time in the suit is 45 minutes for an appearance and less than that in excessive heat and humidity.

Payment
